About Us
Adani Arogya Mandir is a proposed 2,000-bed not-for-profit multi-speciality healthcare and medical education institution coming up at the Bengal Silicon Valley Tech Hub, Action Area II, New Town, Kolkata. The foundation stone was laid on 24 September 2026 by West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari, marking the beginning of the project.
The project is being developed by the Adani Foundation with a planned investment of more than ₹4,000 crore. The proposed campus will cover approximately 51.75 acres and is planned as a broader healthcare ecosystem comprising a multi-speciality hospital, medical college, nursing college, allied healthcare and paramedical education, research facilities, step-down and transitional care facilities, as well as accommodation facilities such as a Meditel and Vishram Gruh for patients' relatives.
The planned hospital is expected to have 2,000 beds, with 1,000 beds intended for economically weaker sections eligible under state and central health insurance schemes, according to the Adani Group's announcement.
The first phase is planned to have a strong focus on cancer care and advanced tertiary and highly specialised healthcare. The wider institution is also planned to develop research capabilities in genomics, precision medicine, biomedical informatics, artificial intelligence, clinical trials and applied biomedical sciences.
